Renewable Energy Producers

If you produce electricity from biogas, water, wind, or solar energy and operate a power plant with a capacity over 400 kWp, check out our offer for Renewable Energy Producers. If your installation has a lower capacity, explore our energy sales offer for business customers with attractive conditions for purchasing surplus electricity.

Hekla Energy cooperates with the largest domestic and international investors in the renewable energy market. We are a reliable and trusted business partner offering modern and market-leading solutions. We manage over 1.5 GWp of installed renewable generation capacity, and the number of producers we serve continues to grow.

We provide our clients with comprehensive service and a range of additional services that enable hassle-free business operation and optimization of electricity costs.

PPA Purchase

Hekla Energy offers energy buyback at attractive fixed prices as well as variable prices indexed to the Commodity Exchange (TGE), with several models that include protection against negative prices and optimization of energy sales for renewable energy auction participants. Currently, we cooperate with over 900 renewable energy power plants with a total capacity exceeding 1.5 GWp producing electricity from solar, wind, biogas, and water, and this number continues to grow.

For clients with portfolios exceeding a total capacity of 100 MWp, we offer tailor-made energy buyback models based on their specific needs.

Environmental Products Purchase

Hekla Energy offers attractive rates for the purchase and sale of environmental products, such as Guarantees of Origin and Certificates of Origin. We provide attractive fixed prices in Forward contracts with deferred delivery dates, allowing you as a producer to secure a stable selling price for these instruments regardless of market price fluctuations.

SOGL and REMIT Reporting

As a renewable energy producer in categories B and C, you are required to provide daily production forecasts from your installation and submit them to the local Distribution System Operator. We offer the forecasting and reporting service (known as SOGL) free of charge to producers from whom we purchase energy, and on a commercial basis to other producers.

If you are a producer with generation installations totaling over 10 MWp, you are obligated to report your energy sales contracts with a trading company. Hekla Energy provides REMIT reporting services, including obtaining all necessary IDs and identification codes.

Balance Settlement and Reporting to the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) and the Settlement Manager

We provide comprehensive ongoing reporting services to the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) on behalf of our partners. For producers who have won renewable energy auctions or benefit from Feed-in Premium support, we offer balance reporting services to the Settlement Manager via the KIWI system.

For producers who supply energy to us, these services are provided comprehensively, but we also offer them to other producers at competitive prices.

Safe Price NX

SafePrice NX is a product offered by Hekla Energy in cooperation with our technology partner — a leading provider of SCADA and O&M services — Nomad Electric Services. As part of the service, Hekla acts not only as a purchaser of energy and Guarantees of Origin (PoB) but also actively manages your generating installations remotely, performing shutdowns and startups to maximize revenues from selling energy on the SPOT market (Day-Ahead Market, RDN).

The product is based on a proprietary energy purchase algorithm that relies not only on prices from the main auction (Fixing and RDN) but also on additional sales in the intraday auction (Intraday Market, DAM RDN). Additionally, we offer a fixed (positive) purchase price during hours with unfavorable (negative) energy prices if Hekla decides to resume generation in those hours.

We offer our clients three distinct settlement options tailored to their needs:

A variant dedicated to producers without support systems (e.g., RES auctions) and virtual cPPA contracts.

A variant dedicated to producers with virtual cPPA contracts.

A variant dedicated to producers benefiting from RES auction support or other support systems, such as green certificates.

Depending on the chosen model and your obligations (e.g., auction prices), we can—at no risk to you—increase your revenue by approximately 15–30 PLN/MWh annually.

Currently, over 300 RES power plants use the SafePrice NX service. If you want to join this group and boost your revenue, contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our offer is directed to energy producers with installations of at least 400 kWp. For smaller installations, we offer attractive buyback rates as part of the offer for customers with surplus electricity buyback.

You must choose the partner who will purchase the energy and provide the Balance Responsible Party (BRP) services before signing the distribution agreement, as the selected BRP must be indicated in the Distribution Agreement. Therefore, we encourage you to contact us about 2-3 months before the planned commissioning of the renewable energy power plant. This timeframe is sufficient to conclude the contract and complete all necessary registration procedures on our side.

Please contact our producer support department. After accepting the commercial terms and signing the contract, Hekla will handle all the formalities. Keep in mind that your current contract is most likely a fixed-term agreement and may require termination notice, so it’s advisable to start discussions about cooperation at least 2 to 6 months before your current contract expires.

Yes! Hekla Energy provides comprehensive support for SOGL and REMIT reporting as well as settlements with the Energy Regulatory Office (URE) and the Settlement Manager. This allows you to focus on energy production while we handle all the formal and administrative obligations, ensuring compliance with current regulations and optimizing processes.
