Renewable Energy

By choosing green energy from Hekla Energy, you not only reduce your company’s carbon footprint but also benefit from lower electricity bills. Thanks to our direct cooperation with independent renewable energy producers, as well as our own renewable assets — including photovoltaic farms, wind parks, biogas plants, and hydropower facilities — we are able to offer highly competitive pricing, often more attractive than rates provided by state-owned energy companies.

Switching your electricity supplier to Hekla Energy will not only enhance your company’s sustainability profile but also support your ESG reporting, helping you comply with the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Commission Delegated Regulation of July 31, 2023, which will come into force broadly in 2026.

Each client receives a Guarantee of Origin certificate along with a statement of CO₂ emissions avoided — calculated in accordance with the methodology of the National Centre for Emissions Management (KOBiZE).

Over 17,000 clients have already placed their trust in us. We supply renewable electricity to small, medium, and large enterprises across Poland.

Our Green Energy for Business offering is based on four key products:

Fixed Price

A solution tailored for clients who wish to secure a stable electricity price for the duration of their agreement. We offer a fixed rate for up to four calendar years. This offer is available to all types of customers, regardless of their business profile.

Day-Ahead Market (DAM)

Energy supply based on Day-Ahead Market (DAM) prices of the Polish Power Exchange (TGE). This offer is especially dedicated to companies seeking to actively manage their energy consumption in response to market conditions and wholesale price fluctuations.

Balancing Market

Buy electricity at wholesale prices offered directly by the operator — Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE).

Energy purchase in tranches

Sign an energy supply agreement while negotiating the most favorable margin. You are free to choose the moment of fixing a fixed price at any time during the contract term — securing the price for future years, quarters, or months based on the prices from the Forward Market of the Polish Power Exchange.

Hekla Energy offers competitive pricing while ensuring that the energy supplied originates exclusively from renewable sources, which we confirm by providing Guarantees of Origin issued by the Polish Power Exchange.

Energy for Businesses — Frequently Asked Questions from Our Clients:

Purchase of surplus electricity from photovoltaic systems

Hekla Energy offers competitive rates for purchasing surplus energy generated by your photovoltaic installation or other energy sources in which you have invested. By signing an energy supply agreement with us for businesses, you also enter into an arrangement for the purchase of any unused electricity at attractive wholesale prices, granting you access to the same rates applied to large energy producers.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA)

Direct Green Energy Contracting from Producers

If you are interested in contracting energy from a specific renewable energy source to secure fixed prices for a period of over 5 years, while also aiming to reduce emissions in line with the Scope 2 GHG Protocol (developed by public benefit organizations, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA) may be the right solution for you.

A cPPA is a modern model for energy contracting and carbon footprint reduction. It involves either a physical energy supply agreement or a financial contract settled based on wholesale energy market prices, concluded directly between the business customer and the renewable energy producer—offering long-term cost predictability.

Are you a large energy customer looking to hedge against future price increases over a 7-, 10-, or even 15-year horizon? Are you interested in sourcing green energy from a specific renewable facility? Is your organization committed to advancing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)? Then this solution could be tailored to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, our services are dedicated to business and institutional clients, such as local government units, public service entities, universities, medical facilities, and other organizations performing social functions.

Yes, we offer fixed energy prices for periods of up to four calendar years.
This is the timeframe within which we are able to secure price levels on the Polish Power Exchange (TGE), allowing us to guarantee the offered rates for our clients.

The two most important documents confirming that the energy we supply to our clients comes from renewable sources are: Guarantees of Origin, as defined in Article 120(1) of the Renewable Energy Sources Act of 20 February 2015. These are issued by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office and registered by the Polish Power Exchange (Towarowa Giełda Energii S.A.). They certify that the volume of electricity specified in the document originates from renewable sources. Fuel mix disclosure, which details the types of fuels or other energy carriers used in electricity production. This is published annually by all energy companies engaged in electricity trading and provides transparency regarding the share of renewable energy in the overall supply.

The process of concluding a cPPA agreement depends on bilateral arrangements between the parties involved. A cPPA is an agreement involving the producer, the buyer, and a trading company. The key step is the agreement between the producer and the buyer on commercial terms. Then, Hekla proposes a tailored solution to meet the settlement needs defined by the clients’ agreed commercial terms. The process concludes with the execution of either a negotiated tripartite agreement or several bilateral agreements, with Hekla acting as the entity responsible for commercial balancing in this arrangement.
