Gracjan Grela – President of the Management Board, Trading Director, Founder of Hekla Energy
Graduate of Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology, as well as Risk Management studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. He has many years of experience in wholesale trading of energy products, gained among others as a Portfolio Manager managing complex gas portfolios at the Wholesale Trading Division of PGNiG SA, with exposure to European and American markets. He holds a Commodity Broker license from the Polish Power Exchange (TGE) and the German Energy Exchange (EEX). He actively trades energy and manages the long-term exposure of the company’s client portfolio. He is responsible for developing the company’s strategy and its operational management.
Privately, he is interested in geopolitics and art. He enjoys spending his free time actively by cycling, running, swimming, or practicing strength sports.
Michał Skałecki – Analytics Director, Founder of Hekla Energy
A market expert with 10 years of experience in the energy sector. He graduated in Energy Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology and Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems from the Warsaw School of Economics.
He specializes in balancing and forecasting electricity and natural gas portfolios for trading companies, utilizing advanced statistical, mathematical methods, and machine learning. He participated in development projects for the electricity market at Polish Power Grid Company (Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne SA), where he developed optimization models supporting the operation of the National Power System.
As a licensed broker of the Polish Power Exchange (TGE), he is responsible for managing the company’s position in short-term markets, using predictive and optimization models to make decisions. He also oversees data management and IT within the company.
In his free time, he focuses on physical activity — training strength sports, swimming, martial arts, and squash.
Ewelina Rulewska – Chief Operating Officer
Graduate of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). She further developed her management and finance skills through postgraduate studies in Corporate Financial Management at the Warsaw School of Economics and Financial Controlling at Kozminski University.
She possesses strong managerial competencies, including experience managing post-sales processes in energy sector companies. For years, she has implemented effective operational, business, and customer service solutions within the energy industry. At Hekla Energy, she is responsible for comprehensive management of operational activities, with particular focus on improving internal processes, raising service standards, and supporting the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals.
Privately, she is passionate about traveling—especially discovering new cultures—and physical activity, which she considers an important part of balancing professional and personal life.
Paweł Chrostowski – Chief Financial Officer
Graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk and the Excellence Programme for Finance Managers at ESCP Business School in Paris.
He brings 20 years of financial experience across the telecommunications, energy, and call center industries.
For over a decade, he was associated with the Orange Polska Group, holding various leadership positions such as Controlling Director for selected Orange business units and Finance Director for several group companies. He is passionate about building effective teams and fostering open communication, consistently acting as a proactive Finance Business Partner.
At Hekla Energy, he is responsible for business support functions including Finance, HR, and Administration.
An avid traveler at heart, he once completed a one-and-a-half-year journey around the world.
Today, he divides his time between family, work, dancing, the real estate market, and further travels.
Szymon Skóra – Sales Director
Graduate of the University of Commerce in Radom (currently: Academy of Applied Sciences in Radom), where he studied Internal Security with a specialization in combating organized crime and terrorism.
He began his professional career in fast-growing energy companies, working across sales, customer service, and supplier switching departments. He quickly gained extensive experience in managing distributed sales networks and delivering high-quality service to B2B clients from the SME and Large Business segments. He was also responsible for developing sales support systems, implementing IT tools for energy intermediaries, and managing the offer publication process for SME B2B clients.
Since 2022, he has co-created Hekla Energy Sp. z o.o., and in August 2023, he took on the role of Director of the Sales Division. At Hekla Energy, he is responsible for acquiring Producers, B2B Clients, and Institutional Customers. His personal motto is: “Strength without flexibility is just hardness.” He values market innovation, unconventional solutions, employee development, and broadly understood automation of sales processes.
Outside of work, he pursues his passion for nature by taking on long-distance survival trails across Poland, putting his military knowledge acquired through literature to the test. He is a fan of war and post-apocalyptic books and an avid console gamer.
