Hekla Energy has signed a power purchase agreement with Gülermak Renewables covering electricity generated by two solar farms: the 5 MW Powidz facility and the 40 MW Brodnica project.
The agreement will remain in force until 2030 and includes both the sale of the electricity generated and comprehensive route-to-market services for the two assets.
The contract is another example of a long-term partnership between a renewable energy producer and a company specialising in the commercial management of renewable generation. The projects covered by the agreement have a combined installed capacity of 45 MW.
PPA covering the Powidz and Brodnica solar farms
The agreement covers electricity generated by two solar assets in Gülermak Renewables’ portfolio:
- the 5 MW Powidz solar farm,
- the 40 MW Brodnica solar farm.
Hekla Energy will be responsible for selling the electricity generated by the projects and managing their participation in the energy market. This will draw on the company’s experience in renewable energy portfolio management, balancing services and adapting sales strategies to changing market conditions.
The long-term nature of the agreement provides a solid foundation for a stable partnership and supports the continued development of Gülermak Renewables’ portfolio in Poland.
Supporting the growth of renewable energy
PPAs play an important role in the development of renewable energy markets. They provide generators with a clear framework for selling electricity, help mitigate some of the risks associated with market volatility and improve the long-term predictability of asset revenues.
For solar projects, effective commercial management is just as important as electricity generation itself. The production profile of solar assets, fluctuating market prices and balancing requirements mean that professional route-to-market services are essential to the efficient operation of a photovoltaic portfolio.
Under the agreement, Hekla Energy will support both projects with its expertise in renewable energy management and the commercial operation of large-scale generation assets.
Gülermak Renewables expands its Polish portfolio
The agreement also marks an important milestone in the development of Gülermak Renewables’ business in Poland.

The company’s development plans cover three key areas of the energy transition: solar power, wind energy and battery storage. A diversified portfolio can support the more efficient use of renewable generation and increase the flexibility of assets operating in the market.
Hekla Energy to provide electricity sales and route-to-market services
The partnership with Gülermak Renewables is another project in which Hekla Energy will apply its expertise in managing electricity generated by renewable energy assets.
The services provided for the two solar farms, with a combined capacity of 45 MW, will include electricity sales and day-to-day commercial market management. A well-structured cooperation model enables the asset owner to focus on developing its project portfolio, while a specialised partner takes responsibility for trading, balancing and market access.
For Hekla Energy, the agreement confirms the growing importance of its capabilities in managing large-scale renewable energy assets.

45 MW of solar capacity secured under a long-term agreement
