Hekla Energy Expands Its Portfolio with Another Charging Network

Hekla Energy, one of the leading independent suppliers of green energy, is expanding its client portfolio by adding another charging network. Since September, the company has also been supplying electricity to ChargeIn, a network developing its infrastructure in partnership with McDonald’s restaurants and Intermarché stores.

ChargeIn is a rapidly growing charging network operating in Poland, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Germany, investing in both AC and DC infrastructure. The network currently operates 46 active charging stations, including 36 fast DC chargers and 10 AC stations. The company continues to connect new sites and plans to launch X new charging stations in Poland by the end of the year.

Why are charging operators choosing green energy?

“Our goal is to make electromobility accessible everywhere – both in large cities and smaller towns. Cooperation with Hekla Energy enables us to power our stations with green energy, allowing us to expand the network in an environmentally friendly way,” says Mateusz Stempel, COO of ChargeIn and President of the Management Board of ChargeIn CPO.

Why does it matter?

There are now over 10,000 public charging points operating in Poland, and the number of electric vehicles is steadily increasing – currently reaching around 170,000 vehicles. Thanks to green energy, charging becomes not only convenient but also environmentally responsible.

“Hekla Energy has extensive experience in this area – we already supply more than 3,500 charging points across Poland, accounting for over 30% of all publicly available chargers in the country. We are proud to be part of building a modern infrastructure that enables drivers to embrace sustainable mobility,” emphasizes Szymon Skóra, Sales Division Director at Hekla Energy.

Let’s make every kilometer count toward a cleaner, greener future – together!
